Lucy-Liu
Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American actor, voice actress as well as a director producer and singer. An attractive and intelligent actress she serves as an example to many Asian actors who want to be successful in Hollywood. Her early success was boosted by her appearance on a few popular series. She played the villainous Ling Woo. The actress translated her sudden popularity into big screen roles in movies such as Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. The actress then gave an amazing performance in the role of Japanese criminal lord O'RenIshii, in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. During this time she also acted as the lead in a few flops at the box office like Rise: Blood Hunter. Then, she was able to sing prominent characters for animation films such as Kung Fu Panda. Small screen roles such as Mia Mason in Cashmere Mafia failed to produce positive results. Southland, a critically acclaimed series of police dramas that had Liu playing recurring roles, helped her reestablish her role as an actress. Liu selects her roles with care in order to ensure she is not cast in an industry that is competitive. Although she is proud of her heritage however, she is not letting that limit her creativity.
