Harry Edward Styles, known to the world of music in the world of music as Harry Styles, is a British singer and composer, recognized as being a part of the group One Direction. Harry Styles was born in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, England on the 1st of February 1994. He is the son of Des Styles and Anne Cox. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School in which he started his own musical band with 3 classmates. The band he called the White Eskimo. The group was part of the Battle of Bands where thanks to their impressive performances they won. Although he has always been interested in the music world, despite his passion for it he wanted also to be a lawyer or physical therapist. In the past, he was employed as a part-time baker in his city to help financially at home. The year was 2010. Harry Styles presented audition for The X Factor where he performed the song Is not She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and was selected. The reason for this was the band split up. Nicole Scherzinger told Harry Styles, Liam Payne Zayn Milik Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson that they would form the group One Direction after the X Test audition. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in the year 2010. They performed tracks like My Life Would Suffer Without You, by Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. They were one of the contenders to win the award. But they came in third place, just behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles, his group and Cowell were not able to take home the prize. However Cowell gave Harry Styles a 2 million pound contract to sign up with Syco.
